DBS Fundraising Walks

The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool Charitable Foundation recently partnered with the team from the Disclosure and Barring Service based at Princes Dock for a series of successful fundraising walks around Liverpool’s waterfront.

In late May, members of the DBS team took part in three evening guided walks led by Jess, with participants making donations in support of the Foundation’s work with young people across the Liverpool City Region. The walks gave attendees the opportunity to explore the history and heritage of the Dock while supporting a local charity initiative.

Alongside the walks, the DBS team also organised a raffle the following week as part of their fundraising activities. The raffle included an Albert Dock quiz created by Jess, which tested participants’ knowledge of facts and stories they had learned during the guided walks. Together, the walks and raffle raised a total of £275 for the Foundation, helping to support future employability and community projects.

The collaboration was a fantastic example of local organisations coming together to support young people and engage with Liverpool’s waterfront community. Feedback from the DBS team was extremely positive, and staff have expressed an interest in supporting future Foundation projects, particularly employability activities such as mock interviews for young people taking part in our programmes.

The team have also shared our details with their daytime staff to explore further opportunities for fundraising and collaboration in the future.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their support, generosity and enthusiasm throughout the events.
