During the past year, the foundation has delivered a wide range of projects designed to inspire, inform and prepare individuals for the world of work, including:
- 8 educational walking tours, reaching 90 participants
- Work ready pre‑employment training, supporting young people to develop essential skills
- Interview skills workshops, delivered with support from Dock tenants
- Work experience placements and volunteering opportunities
The impact of this support is real and measurable. Participants have gone on to secure full‑time and part‑time employment, return to further education, or progress into volunteering and further training.
What sets our programmes apart is the unique and safe setting of Royal Albert Dock, combined with direct access to supportive businesses from a wide range of sectors. The opportunity for young people to meet employers, take part in mock interviews and hear first‑hand career stories has proven invaluable — and is something few other providers can offer at the same scale.
None of this work would be possible without the generosity and commitment of the Albert Dock business community. Over the past 12 months, numerous tenants have donated their time, space, expertise and resources to support Foundation activities — all provided as benefit‑in‑kind contributions.
From hosting tours and offering placements, to speaking with young people and donating prizes, this collective effort demonstrates the true strength of partnership at the Dock.
We are incredibly proud to work alongside such engaged and supportive organisations.
