Career Walking Tours Welcome Strawberry Field and Blackburne House

The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool Charitable Foundation was delighted to welcome groups from Strawberry Field Liverpool and Blackburne House to the Albert Dock in October 2025 as part of our Career Walking Tours programme.

Both organisations do fantastic work supporting young people and adults across Liverpool, helping participants build confidence, develop skills and take positive steps towards employment and training opportunities.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with Strawberry Field, who we have previously partnered with through our tours and work experience opportunities, while also building new relationships with Blackburne House through their first visit to the Dock.

During the tours, participants met a range of businesses based across the Royal Albert Dock, hearing directly from professionals about their career journeys and learning about the wide variety of roles available across hospitality, creative industries, tourism and business sectors. Alongside employability learning, groups also explored the rich history of Liverpool’s waterfront and the importance of the Albert Dock within the city.

We would like to thank all of the Dock businesses and staff who gave their time to support the visits and inspire participants, including Rhe Stokes at Revolución de Cuba Liverpool, Simona at Port Noir Tattoo, the team at The Beatles Story, and Connor Meehan and Sandra Sowerby at Clockwise Liverpool.

Due to continued interest in the programme, all remaining Career Walking Tour spaces for this year have now been filled. However, organisations interested in hearing more about future opportunities are encouraged to get in touch with the Foundation team.
